We asked some people at Creekwood to answer one of two questions:
“What is your favorite Christmas carol,
and what does it tell you about God?”
or
“How do you hear God speaking in the world today?”
We hope you find hope, love, joy, and peace as you hear God speak through these daily devotional reflections.
I enjoy the song Silent Night especially when we stand up and light our candles every Christmas Eve service. I feel God’s presence when we all light our candles from the single flame that represents God. It’s exhilarating!
This song is about Jesus and the miracle of his birth. It reminds me he is with me every day and every day a tiny miracle can happen to me. One might not realize it but having a house with food and water is a miracle by itself. There are people out there struggling to survive whilst we have a nice scrumptious meal. Every second we’re alive is a miracle, so that’s how I know God’s with me.
Sincerely,
Chase Hammett (age 12)
