A special note to add. Advent is a time when we receive many visitors and those returning to church after a layoff. Let’s all remember to be our most hospitable selves, even if we are not official greeters or ushers. The story of Christmas is so inspiring because God came close to us, and many people walking into church are looking for that same experience. They will find it IF they see we are expecting them to be there and excited that we get to be close to them. Let’s treat each other and every new face we see as though they are the very expression of Christ we’ve been waiting for. Don’t forget to say “hi”, greet those around you, and continue the welcoming tradition that Creekwood is known for.
