In every great story, there’s a powerful setting, complex characters, a dynamic plot, and a climax that brings lasting change. The Bible and our own spiritual journeys share these elements, yet we often find ourselves evaluating our relationship with God moment by moment, missing the broader narrative He is weaving.
In this sermon, we dive into a powerful testimony from a member of our community, journeying together to uncover God’s presence in our lives and how we can strengthen our part in His story. The setting we find ourselves in, and the culture surrounding us, are crucial to shaping who we become and the impact we leave. Like the Biblical figures who navigated challenging circumstances, we are called to find our grounding in the vision of a new heaven and earth—our true home, as Jesus described.
As we remember and mourn those we have lost, may we also find comfort in the closeness of heaven and embrace a hope that isn’t far away, but deeply intertwined with the world as it is and as it should be. Join us as we explore how our story with God can flourish, grounded in His eternal promise.
