There’s a source for everything, and in the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Charley Bucket receives a golden ticket chance for all of his dreams to come true – a life-time supply of chocolate! And why does Charlie win the competition? Because he isn’t selfish like the other kids. He doesn’t mind giving things away because he knows how blessed he is to receive. On stewardship Sunday, we’ll remember how blessed we are to receive, so that we can be the vines who give.
