Open Door Special Needs Ministry
Open Door is a ministry of Creekwood UMC for adults with special needs age 18+. Our mission is to provide a safe and loving environment for adults with special needs to have fellowship & fun. Events are held on the first Thursday of each month from 6 – 8 pm for up to 40 guests and then repeated on the 3rd Tuesday for up to 40 additional guests. Guests attend only 1 event each month.
We serve dinner, celebrate birthdays each month and then enjoy a fun activity. Some of the fun things we have done include having a magician perform, a karaoke singing night, an annual Prom, fishing on Creekwood’s pond, as well as nights of games and crafts.
