In Deuteronomy, we’re encouraged to ritually offer our “first fruits” in order to offer love for widows, orphans, and foreigners in our lands. When we transition to the Gospel of John, we see that Jesus is the King we worship who cares for all. Rather than worship a myriad of gods to hedge our bets, we choose to worship the one true God in Jesus Christ.
