WELCOME TO CREEKWOOD
MIDDLE SCHOOL MINISTRY!
Intermediate and middle school students are a unique group. They’re “too old” for children’s activities but really don’t relate to high school issues of dating, driving, and college prep either.
Middle schoolers need their own space and their own small groups to explore and develop their own faith in their own way. And they need leaders who love them every step of the way.
The goal of our middle school ministry is to provide an environment for 5th through 8th graders that allows them to be themselves while developing relationships with Christ and each other. This occurs through Sunday morning programs, weekday small groups, service projects, and fellowship events.
If your youth isn’t already plugged in, please contact Donna Bartholomew.
Students begin their journey through the Confirmation process in 5th and 6th grade. Our “On Deck” Sunday morning class is a year-long study of the Bible in preparation for Confirmation in the 7th grade. We will spend the year learning about covenants, our Christian heritage, growing together as a faith community, and much more.
We strongly encourage your 6th grader to attend regularly in order to lay a firm foundation for their Confirmation class in 7th grade.
Students meet upstairs in the House in the Loft from 9:45-10:45.
Sunday school at Creekwood UMC helps prepare 5th and 6th graders for Confirmation in their 7th grade year. But let’s face it—preteens are all about friends!
Club 56 is a program designed to foster close relationships with other 5th and 6th graders as they move from Children’s Ministries into Middle School Ministries.
Once a month, 5th and 6th graders will gather after church for a fun, maybe even mission-oriented, activity.
Unless otherwise communicated, Club 56 will be held in the Loft at the House from 12:30-3:30 pm.
Adult and youth volunteers are needed! Adults must complete a background check and Ministry Safe training.
Please email Donna Bartholomew if you are interested in hanging out with this awesome group of kids!
