Tell us something about your family?
I’ve been married to Lyndsey since 2006. We have two children, Ardyn and Chyler.
My wife, Lyndsey, works for Zoe Empowers, a non-profit that empowers orphans and vulnerable children to be self-sufficient business owners. Our children love playing outside and have big imaginations.
What is your favorite Bible verse?
As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
~ Colossians 3:12-17

Describe your current role at the church?
As the Lead Pastor, I get the privilege of helping us listen to God’s direction and desire for our church and equip and inspire our staff and laity to realize God’s ways in all aspects of life. On top of this and regular leadership duties like preaching, I regularly offer pastoral care and counseling, teaching, and organizing the ministries of our church to fit around our mission, vision, and values.
What has been your ministry experience in the past?
Prior to Creekwood, I served as an Associate Pastor at Stonebridge United Methodist Church, leading a contemporary worship environment and our sports ministries. Before that, I served in youth and young adult ministry roles in Kansas and Georgia.
Anything else you’d like to add?
I’ve been asked about my passions outside of Christ and the church. They regularly include exploring with my family, any variety of sports, chocolate milkshakes, grilling and eating meat, and board games of any type.
