Advent Devotional 9

Over the course of your lifetime, you will get and find many great gifts. Some of those gifts may not be something that you can touch but something that you can feel. It takes a lot to fully understand God but with the help of my gift I have been able to learn more about the lord. The greatest gift I have ever received was the ability to have older mentors at church.

Through conformation I had a mentor by my side the whole time. My mentor was Ms. Janet Tillman. She helped me to understand the Lord in ways that were unfamiliar to me before. She opened my heart to the Lord and helped me on my faith journey. Not only have older mentors helped me through my confirmation journey but they have also helped me in my everyday church life. I have been ushering at the church for almost three years now and I have had a lot of mentoring. I have the ability to work with two older gentlemen. Michael Mints, And Claude Whitehead. They have helped me so much in the past 3 years. They have helped me to become a member in the church community through serving. I have learned so much from them over the years. They have helped me build my relationship with God.

Greatest gifts aren’t something that suddenly appears out of thin air or something that you get. These gifts are much more than that. These gifts are experienced over a lifetime. These gifts connect you to a deeper meaning of life. They make you understand who you are meant to be. They help you become a better person.
