How YOU Can Get Involved
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
It's still cold outside, however, spring is just around the corner! It's that time of year again, and we are excited to share our spring build date, Saturday, March 9th. The tentative job is interior painting. It's a great time to invite the Teen (14 and over) in your family to join us. They'll earn community hours, too!
Do you have a few hours this spring to commit to help? We would love to see you there. Please sign up to volunteer or provide food for the build date.
We have committed to providing 20 volunteers for each build day along with lunch and water for our group and the build leaders. Build dates begin promptly at 8am and end at approximately 3pm.
We will be helping the Quintanilla Family, a beautiful family of six, build their dream home at 701 Elm St, McKinney, Texas.
If you would like to Volunteer on Wednesday's please email Christina Shepard, and she will connect you with the Habitat Build Leaders.
Please remember: If you are new to Habitat, you must take a one-time orientation class before joining a build. Let Christina know if you would like to attend the class or take a quick 20 minute on-line class. You only need to take the class once.
You can also email Christina to confirm attending any of the build dates or providing food.
Where you go, I'll go...

Ongoing Serving Opportunities
Creekwood UMC, in partnership with Harper Elementary in Princeton, TX, has established Harper's Helpers, a program to train and match Creekwood members with students pre-K through 5th grade to be classroom helpers, assist teachers with classroom tasks, provide tutoring in small group settings, and to be a positive role model for children in the class. There are also opportunities for serving as a breakfast volunteer or lunchroom helper throughout the school year.
Vounteers must complete Ministry Safe training every two years while volunteering as a Helper. Contact Jen Still for more information.
