Holiday Serving Opportunities
Each year over 500 local families need assistance for Christmas. The Assistance Center of Collin County is a local agency that annually produces a list of families in need. Churches and civic groups help by adopting the families, garnering food and toys to be distributed for Christmas. The Plano Santas organization helps the Assistance Center of Collin County to procure, organize and deliver the food and gifts for these families during the holiday season.  Volunteers are needed to sort food and toys in the Plano Santas' warehouse each day beginning December 2 and running through December 15. This is a great serving opportunity for small groups. It is a wonderful family serving event. Children under the age of 14 are welcome to help, but they need to be accompanied by an adult at all times. Sign up for a time slot here. Spots fill up fast so don't wait too long.

Help is also needed to deliver items to families on December 16 and 17; no sign up is required for the delivery volunteers, just show up. Watch for more info to come. Contact Mike Tuttle with any questions.

Creekwood's drive for the toys and other gifts is through our annual Angel Tree program. We've been able to provide gifts for more than 150 children most years. You will have an opportunity again this year to choose an "angel off the tree" and shop, wrap and return your gift to be specially delivered by the Plano Santas. You can even adopt a family if you or your small group want to provide for an entire family. Plan to shop the Creekwood Angel Tree on Sunday December 3 and 10, to find your perfect child or family. Join us in helping others this Christmas. Gift items are due back on Wednesday, December 13.

Family Promise Holiday Hosting
Creekwood will be hosting Family Promise families December 3-10 in the Student Center.  What better way to bless these people in the holiday season than to show them the love of Christ through gracious hospitality and care.  Here you can find a list of volunteer opportunities.  There are many family serving opportunities.  If you have questions or if you will be a first-time Family Promise volunteer, please contact Sarah Brown at hughandsarahbrown@yahoo.com.  Learn more about the Family Promise program here.
