Annual Creekwood UMC Live Nativity

Creekwood United Methodist Church will once again be hosting a live nativity December 11 & 12 featuring live animals (1pm service) with a 15-minute storytelling featuring actors portraying Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, and the three wise men as it was on that cold night in Bethlehem more than 2,000 years ago. Shows will be held 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30, and 8:00p.m. These free shows will be first come first served.

At this event, families across DFW will have the chance to experience the first Christmas in a setting reminiscent of the original event, The Live Nativity has become a tradition for so many families in our community. The two night live event will again be held in the red barn at Creekwood UMC. After enjoying carolers, children’s crafts, activities, complimentary hot chocolate, cookies, and other refreshments, guests will be ushered back in time, towards the North Star, to the night Jesus was born.

“This portrayal of the very first Christmas will delight and inspire”, said the senior pastor David Lessner. “Assembling in a humble barn, likely akin to the structure Mary and Joseph huddles in, brings an authentic depth to the true story of Christmas. We invite all in our community to share in this experience.”
